>> In keeping with our person-centered philosophy, our Recreation Department provides a variety of quality recreation and socialization events. These safe, affordable and fun-filled activities are customized according to individual requests and recreation surveys. Alternatives, Inc. staff is on duty 24-hours a day on all trips. They are fully trained and certified in First Aid, CPR, Medication Administration, etc.

Our fully packed Calendar of Events provides opportunities for our clients to become more adapted to their communities, either through Agency-sponsored activities or participation in community activities. Successful recreational activities include several annual events such as a Halloween Party, the Alternatives' Picnic and the Awards Dinner (a time when great and small individual strides are recognized!) Additionally, the Recreation Department offers relaxed activities such as movies, shopping and bowling as well as Trips to Disney World, Williamsburg, the Jersey Shore and other locations.
