Programs Serving Individuals
with Developmental Disabilities |

>> Group Homes - Alternatives’ staff work within the home 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. This program is designed for individuals who require intensive staff supports. |

>> Supervised Apartment Programs - Some individuals are capable of living somewhat independently, yet still require on site support. Staff members are available around-the-clock to help individuals overcome issues as they present themselves. Support staff is housed in their own apartment, on the same site as the individual. |

>> Supportive Living Programs - This program is designed for individuals with greater skill levels who are nearly independent in their daily living. They must be able to administer their own medications when prescribed and they must be able to handle emergencies independently. Staff members meet with these individuals weekly to discuss any issues that arise. Individuals in the supportive living program have access to a 24 hour, on-call system. |

>> Parenting Program - A 2-year residential program serving developmentally disabled mothers and their children. The program serves the entire family and is staffed 24 hours a day. The goal of the program is to foster effective parenting, healthy child development and family unity while preparing the family to transition into permanent housing. Comprehensive support services include parenting and nutritional workshops, financial planning, welfare-to-work assistance, supportive counseling, transportation and housing location assistance. |

>> Respite Program - in-home support services to the caregivers of individuals with developmental disabilities. Respite care services can support a family member who is developmentally disabled enabling them to live at home while giving families a welcome break. |
